Shake Ass For Human Rights!!!

"But Milo", I hear you say, "I can't shake ass [gasp] whatever will I do???"

Well aren't you just in luck!?!1?! I'm hosting an afrobeats-dancehall-reggaeton inspired dance lesson for:

Surely you're at least one of these right? Do you really need any more convincing???
yeah I didn't think so. Here's some more information about what this is actually about. I'll be hosting a dance "class" (it's not that deep dw) where we learn a little bit about congolese culture and I share more details about my reasoning for the event. Then we get into some movement. If you've done theatre you probably know what that means, if not please do not be spooked!!! It's not at all like gcse drama I promise, its more like a specific kind of warm up.

Some Serious (boring, necessary) Information About the Event

After a good warm up, we'll get into some specific moves, which will be demonstrated first before you give it a go. There'll be modifications so you can decide how much you want to stay in your comfort zone or how ready you are to challenge it -- no judgement in any case!

note: these modification can be for physical or emotional comfort (ie disability or body expression). Where possibile, they will be included as part of the general tutorial but you're welcome to modify it yourself considering you know you best!

there'll be scheduled opportunities for breaks, but you're also free to leave and arrive any time, this isn't school lol so even if you can only be there for half the time, a quarter or hell just the last 15 minutes it's still good to see you!
It cannot be stressed enough that this is open to everyone, whether you "can dance" or not, whatever your ethnicity or gender is, it's a learning & mistake-making space.
